Job Description

Financial management of the holding Companies, including:

  • Drive appropriate internal financial management procedures;
  • Coordination and review of monthly, quarterly and yearly period end closing packages with set timeframes;
  • Reports on actuals versus budget and significant movements in P&L and balance sheet;
  • Ensure compliance with local Dutch GAAP and Group corporate finance policies;
  • Finance, tax and treasury risk analysis;
  • Primary finance point of contact for Dutch Holding companies external and internal partners, auditors, consultants and authorities;
  • Partnering in Board meetings of the Dutch holding companies;
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Dutch GAAP and IFRS;
  • Responsible for the preparation of statutory financial statements;
  • Ensures in conjunction with internal and external tax experts timely tax reporting and tax returns;
  • Ensures timely external reporting obligations;
  • Ensures compliance with cash management and hedging policies;
  • Act as coach and source of advice on all finance related issues within the holding companies, manage and encourage greater understanding and ownership of finance related activities. This includes intervening where necessary to improve financial processes or performance.

Working with Dutch Holding Companies colleagues and Group tax, treasury, legal and Finance to provide and facilitate holding company support for local and group projects with the aim to provide financial, strategic and business inputs in order to add value to these projects including:

  • Provision of robust and current financial information to facilitate project planning;
  • Consider consequences for the Dutch Holding Companies of proposals for both Dutch legal entity and Group accounting;
  • Active participation in the working groups;
  • Ensure effective execution and implementation for the Dutch Holding Companies.


Job Requirements
  • 6 to 10 years experience with experience in a similar accounting function in an international company or public accounting firm. (RA is considered an advantage);
  • Excellent Dutch GAAP knowledge and IFRS awareness on holding company level;
  • Business partnering skills / collaborative style / Autonomy;
  • Fluent in English (Dutch mother tongue);
  • Ability to present information in a compelling way;
  • IT literacy (SAP & Hyperion);
  • Experience of international holding company structures and tax planning considered an advantage;
  • Incidental to regular travel may be required.

Salary and Benefits

Salary indication 50-55K per year. Fringe benefits: company car, bonus, pension, 31 holidays and holiday pay.
